R. Alexander Acosta is an attorney and dean of the Florida International University College of Law.
The son of Cuban immigrants He is from Miami, Florida, and attended the Gulliver Schools. He received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard College and a law degree from Harvard Law School.
Acosta served as a law clerk to Samuel Alito when he was a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
