Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (Democrat-New York) said today on the ABC television show ‘The View’ that the Democrats can block Trump Supreme Court Justice nominee Judge Neil Gorsuch. Schumer went on to say that they also have the power to stop President Trump’s attempts to repeal Obamacare.
This may be news to some people who support Judge Gorsuch and the repeal and replacement of Obamacare. Most people who don’t follow politics closely probably thought since Trump won the election those two items getting accomplished are a done deal.
Schumer said, “They need 60 votes. And I believe — if Gorsuch keeps it up he’ll have a rough road to hoe to get those 60 on votes.”
About Obamacare repeal Schumer said this, “They’re stuck. They’re not going to be able to repeal it in my opinion. So we have some power. We have to use it smartly and wisely. We do. And I tell people, I’m ready for the fight.” – Breitbart
Schumer also stated in the interview, ““We have to stop him,” referring to Trump.
To all our Trump voters. Let not your heart not be troubled by what Chucky said today.
- Neil Gorsuch WILL be approved as the next Supreme Court Justice of the United States. Do not worry it will happen! Guaranteed 100% barring something we don’t know about Gorsuch coming out. Has he hired an illegal as a housekeeper? Just kidding.
- Obamacare will be repealed! Do you remember how the Democrats literally cheated to get it passed in the first place with zero Republican votes? They used a budget process called reconciliation. Well, the Republicans can use the very same technique to get rid of it.
Now, just to be clear…the ‘replacement‘ bill for Obamacare will be MUCH better than the existing Affordable Care Act but chances are the legislation will leave many conservatives with a sour taste in their mouths. Why? Simple. The old political adage is that once you give the American people a benefit you can never take it away applies here.
So the new replacement law will take away the horrible parts of Obamacare like the individual mandate and more but it will still provide subsidized coverage to all the people that are on Obamacare now so they don’t cause a political uproar. Just the facts of Washington DC. Still it will be much better for America than Obamacare so don’t fret over it too much.
